We all know that some of the time, getting the key intermediates required for MedChem projects is quite difficult. The reason is that MedChem projects are quite dynamic and novel in design. There are very few vendors available around the globe, and that too has a high lead time and cost. The options left are either it has to be synthesised in-house or one has to wait until the material arrives. That makes pharma R&D slow. Occasionally, the quality of the material is also not satisfactory, which leaves working chemists in trouble.
